Celebrating Growth

This month marked an important milestone. We completed our second round of learning modules, reaching the halfway point of our Learn Serve Teach (LST) Program.

In quiet moments throughout the week, something is beginning to shift. A pause before choosing what to eat. A phone set aside earlier than usual. A decision to go for a walk. Intentional moments of prayer. Deep breaths. Clearer minds. Small choices, almost unnoticeable, but they begin to change how people live.

LST is designed in three phases, creating a pathway where participants grow in wellbeing and stewardship, strengthen their skills, and experience the care of a supportive community.

One of the greatest joys has been watching facilitators lead the sessions. We now have 11 facilitators guiding others across four modules. Behind each session is preparation, thought, and care. We are deeply grateful for our module leaders who have invested in designing the content and training others.

We are hearing how the content is helping others. Maggie shared, “After completing this module on emotional wellbeing, I experienced a sense of peace, encouragement, and personal comfort. It was a truly uplifting experience. This training has strengthened my understanding of trauma and has also increased my confidence and motivation to help and support people who are going through painful and traumatic experiences in their lives. The message of hope and comfort in the Scriptures was deeply meaningful during this learning process.”

Fatima described the changes she is making each day: “I didn’t know my meals should include both macro and micronutrients. Now I try to eat more balanced. I have also been cutting down sugar. I learned how phone use affects sleep, so I now put my phone away two hours before bed, and I sleep much better. I am also trying to walk more and stay active.”

These are small decisions. What to eat. When to rest. How to care for the body. Moments set aside for prayer. But over time, these choices begin to create new habits that transform our lives.

Growth is taking root. New habits are forming. And people are moving forward with greater awareness, confidence, and hope.
