A Taste of Home

The Finish Ministry’s Legacy Project invites young people to step closer to the mission field by drawing near to what God is already doing.

Around a simple table, youth and refugee friends gathered to share a homemade Afghan meal. Plates were passed. With each dish came stories, of home, of culture, of long journeys that led families to Thailand. What was shared was more than food. It was belonging.

For our refugee friends, these moments matter deeply. Having lost so much, they are given space to offer what remains untaken, their traditions, their stories, their love for their people. In sharing who they are, something is restored. Joy returns. Giving and receiving begin to flow freely.

In that shared space, something sacred is at work.
